AGARWOOD (OUD)

Agarwood, also known as oud, is said to be the favorite fragrance of Lord Sri Krishna. Buddha taught that the fragrance of burning agarwood is the “scent of Nirvana”, the state of attaining Divinity. Samurai warriors perfumed their armor with agarwood smoke for good luck before going into battle. Tibetan monks use agarwood to increase their inner energy and induce tranquility. Distinguished by its exotic, rich and sweet, warm and woodsy, honeyed tobacco and earthy aroma with musky undertones agarwood has an utterly unique scent that can’t be compared to any other known perfume note.

Agarwood oil used in our incense is the purest oil produced from mature Agarwood trees growing in the forests of India, Vietnam and Cambodia. We use only naturally occurring forest Agarwood, not cultivated varieties.
